Set up your own fundraising page

An online fundraising page is your own unique website, accessible by your family, friends and colleagues, that gives you the capability to accept donations online.

You can personalise your fundraising page by creating a special message of inspiration by starting a blog or share images and video to help you raise funds for RIDBC.

Sponsors can make donations and leave a message of support to you, as the fundraiser. Donations are tallied and displayed in the fundraising page meter for everyone to see.

Register online at www.splashforcash.com.au and you can set up your very own web page to fundraise online.

Why create a fundraising page?

  1. Raise more money by creating a personalised online fundraising page with your own photo or video and tell your story about how and why you are trying to raise money.
  2. Image: Splash for Cash image 10No hassles collecting promised money or issuing receipts because RIDBC processes every donation from your sponsors and issues the tax deductible receipt (if applicable) to the donor immediately by email.
  3. You can easily reach more people - online fundraising allows you to reach people all over the world by e-mail, Facebook and Twitter to show them what you are doing and why, and ask for donations. In our experience 30% of people you email WILL donate, so the more emails you send, the more money you will raise!
  4. Get instant responses, every time someone donates, we will send you an email telling you so you can say thank you (unless they wish to remain anonymous).
  5. Have more fun by sending personal emails to your friends, family and colleagues and let them leave their message of support.

Types of fundraising pages:

Before creating your fundraising page you need to decide which type of page you require. There are two types of fundraising pages to choose from:

  1. Individual fundraising page

Create your own personalised online fundraising web page and ask your family, friends and colleagues to help you reach your fundraising target.

  2. Team fundraising page

There is nothing like a bit of team competitiveness to make your fundraising more fun and more effective. Help your team mates reach their goal by sending as many emails as possible to your friends, family and colleagues. The team leader will set up a team name and password. Each team member will then be required to set up their own individual fundraising page using the team name and password set up by the team leader.
